Amistà | Provence

Vineyards of Château Roubine in Provence used for the production of Amistà

Amistà meaning ‘friendship in Occitan’, is the story of a meeting between Ariane de Rothschild and Valerie Rousselle. Two wine personalities, two sunny temperaments brought together under the skies of Provence, both sharing the same values of authenticity and the unique idea of creating an exceptional Provence rosé wine.

Amistà is created using fruit selected exclusively from a Grand Cru Classé vineyard and only the very finest plots are harvested. Amistà benefits from Valérie Rousselle and her teams’ work to respect the soil and grapes. The owner since 1994 of Château Roubine, a classified vineyard with 72 hectares of vines in a single plot, Valérie Rousselle has made a major contribution to the revitalisation of the fine wines of Provence. She conducted biodynamic trials on the estate for about a decade, before obtaining organic certification in 2017. In 2020, the Demeter biodynamic agriculture certification capped off this pioneering environmental approach.

This Provence Grand Cru Classé Rosé is a blend of 60% Grenache Noir, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% Tibouren. The 2021 vintage was produced in very small quantities, only 5,000 bottles, in keeping with the desire for extremely high quality, rarity and exclusivity.
