Bodegas Ramón Bilbao | Rioja Alta, Spain

Bodegas Ramón Bilbao Winery in Haro, Rioja Alta - Spain

Bodegas Ramón Bilbao was established in 1924 and is based in Haro in the Rioja Alta region of Spain. Ramón Bilbao now owns 160 hectares of vineyards and sources premium grapes from a further 700 hectares. In 1999 the winery was acquired by the family business of Diego Zamora, who immediately began a programme of rennovation in the winery with state-of-the-art facilities. The company is currently the fastest growing winery in Rioja and is widely considered one of the country’s most innovative producers.

Ramón Bilbao produces fruit driven styles as well as oaky wines, coming from the best estates and vineyards and with oak barrels from the best oak from European and American forests. The wines have received much acclaim in the press and they were voted Winery of the Year in 2009 and again in 2014.
