Wynns Coonawarra Estate Triple Gabled Winery Building

Wynns Coonawarra Estate is the region’s pre-eminent wine producer and largest single vineyard holder with the best and longest-established vineyard sites in Coonawarra. The Estate was founded in 1891 by John Riddoch who planted the estate's first vineyards and in 1896 completed Wynns famous triple gabled winery, now featured on Wynns iconic labels. David Wynn purchased the winery and vineyards in 1951 renaming it Wynns Coonawarra Estate.

In 1954, the first Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet was produced and is still viewed as equal to the world’s best. Wynns Black Label Coonawarra Cabernet is one of Australia's most collected and cellared Cabernets. The wines are regarded as benchmarks for the district; lauded for both their consistent quality and depth of flavour. The rich terra rossa soil and a temperate ripening season makes Coonawarra one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon regions in the world. Wynns Coonawarra Estate is humbled to possess some of the oldest vines in the region and is greatly credited for Coonawarra’s fame.
