Caliterra Edición Limitada 'A' 2016
Caliterra's Edición Limitada wines are truly unique. Sourced from small parcels of very special fruit, these Limited Edition wines are an interpretation of various wine regions of Chile and the world - Bordeaux ('B'), Mediterranean ('M') and Andean ('A') - blending the estates most distinctive grape varieties from the best vineyards into wines of exceptional character. The Edición Limitada 'A' is a unique pairing of the two signature grapes of South America - Malbec and Carménère. Deep crimson in colour it offers floral notes of violets and sweet melon to the nose, accompanied by the typical spicy notes of Carménère. As it opens up, the wine slowly displays notes of red currants and pomegranate complemented by aromas of thyme and rosemary. Finally, the aromatic closure of this lovely wine is led by notes of roasted tomatoes and black pepper that give way to the desired flavours on the palate, filling the mouth with juiciness, fruitiness and different textures.
