Matetic EQ Chardonnay 2013

All Matetic EQ Chardonnay grapes were harvested by hand, and once at the winery cooled and submitted to further strict bunch selection. They were pressed softly and fermentation was carried out in different size French, Burgundy oak barrels (some new oak). Only native yeast was used to ferment and in this way the wine achieve a real expression of the vineyard, increasing the complexity and elegance of the final mixture. The wine remained in the barrels for 10 months and was submitted to a periodic batonnage of its sediment for six months to integrate the effects of the woods and favor the volume and roundness in the mouth.

Matetic EQ is a Chardonnay with a soft yellow colour with flashes of green. The aromas it gives off are intense, mature and elegant, which reminds us of tropical fruits such as mango and papaya. Notes of honey and peaches, along with caramel and cream were given by the barrel fermentation. In the mouth the wine is concentrated with a good volume, its acidity marks sharpness and freshness, the end in the mouth is persistent and elegant.
