Tenuta Montensia Contessa Maggi 2007
The Contessa Maggi vintage Franciacorta is produced at Marchese Antinori's Tenuta Montenisa estate and is every bit as refined and elegant as the name it bears. Produced from selected Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes the Contessa Maggi represents one of the highest quality expressions of the Franciacorta appellation. Golden yellow in colour with brilliant highlights, the aromas are intense in their notes of ripe fruit and the flavours are complex and balanced. It is a structured and persistent wine whose personality express the most classic traditions of its zone. The elegance and finesse which characterise this sparkling wine make it an ideal partner with flavourful first courses as well as white meat, fish soups, and fish in general.
