The Wine Merchants Côtes du Rhône by Famille Perrin 2016

The Wine Merchants Côtes du Rhône is a classic Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre red wine blend that has been crafted by Famille Perrin from fruit grown almost exclusively in two vineyards. The stone-coated clay-limestone soils of the Grand Prébois vineyard are home to the Grenache vines, while Syrah grapes grow further north on quartz and marl limestone soils of the Vinsobres vineyards.

Offering generous red-berry fruit, black bramble character and notes of spice, this traditional Rhône blend carries the elegance synonymous with Famille Perrin. Rounded and vibrantly fresh on the palate, the soft tannins add character that leads to a finish highlighted by notes of liquorice sticks, making it a great all-rounder to match with beef, lamb or poultry.
