We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave us a message in the 'Add A Comment' section at checkout.

Stock Availability:

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

Customer satisfaction is at the heart of our business and we know that getting your wine delivered safely, securely and on-time is a fundamental part of that process. We would love to offer free delivery on all our orders, but regrettably, this is something that is just not feasible as wine is a heavy and fragile product to pack and ship through the courier network safely. We believe our wine prices are very competitive and do not wish to artificially inflate them in an attempt to cover our costs of delivery. Consequently, as we do not want to compromise on quality, we subsidise our delivery charges to ensure the price you pay is as low as possible. Please be assured we do not make any money on our delivery service! You may see other companies offering cheaper delivery options, but we would rather you get great wines from Hic! at a fair price and that any order from us arrives on-time and in one piece!

Most orders are now delivered by DPD, in our view one of the best courier services available, that offer state-of-the-art tracking and careful handling of your consignment. DPD’s “1hr Predict” will give you advanced notice of your one-hour delivery time slot, the opportunity to have your delivery left with a neighbour if your not going to be in, delivered on another more convenient day or picked up from your nearest DPD Pickup Shop. To manage your entire delivery experience we recommended you download the DPD app to your smartphone or mobile device. 

In addition to a first class courier service we also re-pack and despatch all our orders in the industry leading "Pulpsafe" bottle packaging. This offers the highest levels of protection for shipping your wine bottles with the greenest possible eco-credentials. Made in the UK, the sturdy "eggbox" Pulpsafe packaging is fully recycled, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. It can be re-used as planters for your garden or placed in any household compost and will biodegrade in less than 6 months.

Here at Hic! we are happy to sell all our wines by the single bottle, which is perfect if you want to send a special someone a nice bottle of Champagne, Wine, Port or Whisky for example. We impose no minimum order quantity or value so you can order whatever quantity you choose. We have packing cases available in Single, Two, Three, Six, Nine, Twelve & Fifteen Bottle sizes so its no problem ensuring whatever quantity you wish we can ensure safe and secure delivery.

We aim to fulfil all wine orders with 7 working days from the date of placing your order, but this is often much sooner. You can contact us to request a specific date and time for your delivery if you choose.

All our deliveries require a signature and must be signed for by someone 18 years old or over and will not be left with anyone under the age of 18. Proof of ID will be required. If you request, directly with DPD, verbally, via email or in the comments section at checkout, that we leave your order without a signature this is done so entirely at your own risk and any losses will not be replaceable. If the recipient isn’t in, our couriers will attempt to leave the delivery in a requested safe place or return it to their depot for re-delivery.

Please be aware that multi-case orders can become separated through the courier network. If you do not receive the balance of your order within 3 working days of the first delivery please contact us.

CLICK & COLLECT IN STORE:

Local Pickup and kerbside collections are now available to select at checkout for online orders. We aim to fulfil all click and collect orders within 5 working days; however, this is often much sooner.
