Robert Oatley Finisterre Margaret River Chardonnay 2019/20
Robert Oatley's Finisterre (Ends of the Earth) range focusses on single grape varieties and single-region wines, with an emphasis on selected special sites that display Oatley's preferred characteristics. Hand harvesting, careful fruit selection and intuitive winemaking delivers small-parcel wines with clarity, purity, great texture and flavour expression. The Robert Oatley Finisterre Chardonnay is a combination of fruit sourced from three mature vineyards located in the central and southern Margaret River region of Western Australia. Hand-picked, whole bunch pressed into new French oak barriques, where native yeast goes to work and maturing for nine months. Complex and restrained, stone fruits, roasted nuts and nougat this has ample texture and long fine acidity. Will easily cellar for the next decade.
