Thibaud Boudignon Anjou Blanc Cuvée à François(e) 2020
Thibaud Boudignon's Anjou Blanc Cuvée à Francois(e) is pure Chenin Blanc made from his finest plots in Anjou. Fermentation is carried out strictly with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks and ageing takes place in French and Austrian oak barrels taking care to avoid malolactic fermentation. The name of this cuvée is a tribute to Thibaud Boudignon's late mother, Françoise and to her father, François, Thibauds grandfather. This wine is made in their honour without any compromise and if the wine does not live up to their name, he won't make it. The resulting wine, only made in limited quantities, is a fascinating expression of Chenin Blanc, a wine of great tension and with a long and persistent finish.
