Domaine de Cigalus 'Cigalus' Rouge 2018
Gérard Bertrand lives on this Domaine surrounded by the vineyards and is where he first experimented with biodynamics. Cradled in a secluded valley of the Corbières, in the terroir of Fontfroide or ‘cold springs’, Domaine de Cigalus benefits from their tempering influences on its hot and sunny, semi-arid Mediterranean climate. The estate is cultivated biodynamically and produces wines which are powerful and structured with elegance and a true sense of terroir. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (30%), Cabernet Franc (20%), Merlot (20%), Grenache (10%), Caladoc (5%) and Carignan (5%), this intense, complex wine shows delicious flavours of black plum, chocolate and coffee with a velvety mouthfeel, smooth and elegant.
