Andrew Will Two Blondes Vineyard Red 2013

Andrew Will Winery’s estate vineyard, "Two Blondes", is located in Zillah Washington, just outside of Yakima. The vineyard is named for Chris Camarda’s late wife, Annie, who was a 6’2” blonde, and their partner in the vineyard, Bill Fleckenstein’s wife, Melody, who is also blonde. Planted in 2000, the 30 acre vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec grapes.

The Two Blondes Red Wine is a medium to full bodied wine from a vintage that is the winemaker’s favourite since he first started making wine in 1989. A blend of Merlot (44%), Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) and Cabernet Franc (22%) the wine is rich in colour and exhibits aromatic notes of black fruit with undertones of tobacco and herbs. In the mouth, the ripe fruit flavours are polished and elegant and finish with length. The wine is ready to enjoy now but will evolve over the next 10-15 years.
