Bodegas Ramón Bilbao Rioja Mirto 2012

Ramón Bilbao's Rioja Mirto is made from 100% Tempranillo and is possibly the most international of the Ramón Bilbao wines: smooth, polished and complex, with lots of perfume, structure and toast and a smoky, savoury finish.

Aged in new French oak the wine is bright and very intense red/purple in colour. The aromas are powerful, well developed and sophisticated with tobacco, cassis, chocolate coating and cedar wood all to the fore. The palate is filled with perfume added with sensations of blackcurrants, plums, chocolate powder and fallen leaves, with a juicy depth and fresh concentration.
