Caliterra Edición Limitada 'M' 2016
Caliterra's Edición Limitada wines are truly unique. Sourced from small parcels of very special fruit, these Limited Edition wines are an interpretation of various wine regions of Chile and the world - Bordeaux ('B'), Mediterranean ('M') and Andean ('A') - blending the estates most distinctive grape varieties from the best vineyards into wines of exceptional character. The Edición Limitada 'M' stands for Mediterranean, a bright, ripe and complex red wine blend of Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Marsanne. Matured in oak barrels (14% new French) for 18 months This wine's garnet-red colour of medium intensity stands out immediately, revealing a larger presence of Grenache in this year’s blend. It displays great complexity on the nose, slowly showing a vast array of aromas which start with herbal and spicy notes, like rosemary and grey pepper, which give way to soft fruity aromas of cassis and blueberries and are completed with soft mineral touches.
