Champagne Jacquesson Cuvée No. 745 Grand Vin Extra Brut
Champagne Jacquesson Cuvée No. 745 Grand Vin Extra Brut is an expression of the 2017 vintage. The harvest covers Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers (66%), Avize and Oiry (34%). Winter and spring are exceptionally dry, the beginning of spring is mild but in April, destructive frosts ravage the vineyard , especially the Côte des Blancs. The temperatures then rise and the weather is fine until July. The end of the season is hot but very rainy. Harvest commenced on September 4 and finished on September 13th. Rigorous sorting generates a low-volume harvest but allows for ripe and healthy grapes. The wines are rich and dense and the Cuvée is complimented with some reserve wines. The palate is elegant, dry and fruity with a complex lengthy finish.
