Chase Williams Elegant 48 Gin
The Chase Distillery Williams Elegant 48 Gin has been crafted to make the ultimate martini and is made from scratch from the Chase 200-year-old traditional cider orchards. Fermenting '48' rare varieties of apples into their own cider it is then distilled through the Great Chase copper column - with its 48 bubble plates - into Chase naked apple vodka. With nothing filtered out, so all the delicate cider tannins are retained, it is then re-distilled in 'Ginny', the bespoke carter head gin still, with 48 botanicals; 11 regular botanicals including fuggle hops, elderflower, juniper, bramley apple and Angelica, plus a further 37 secret wild botanicals from their own preserved wild river meadow to finish at 48% ABV using fresh well water from their own spring. On the nose there are fresh aromas of juniper, citrus fruit and floral notes. The palate is elegant, crisp and fruity followed by subtle apple undertones. The finish is clean, aromatic and complex.
