Churchill's 20 Year Old Tawny Port
Delicately aged in seasoned oak casks, Churchill’s 20 Year Old Tawny Port is full of finesse and Churchill’s characteristic fresh identity. Like all other Churchill’s Ports, the component wines of this Tawny Port have been vinified in traditional granite lagares (treading tanks). After fermentation, the wine goes through an ageing period in seasoned oak casks for an average of 20 years. The wines are then blended to the characteristic house style Of Churchill's before being bottled. Pale red tawny in colour it has a delicate nose of almonds and red Moreno cherries. Savoury and rich on the palate, without losing the grip, it’s a combination of age and finesse, finishing long and fresh. The Churchill's 20 Year Old Tawny is filtered and ready to drink now, so there's no need to decant and once opened it will keep well for up to one month.
