Discovery Caol Ila is a smoky with peat single malt scotch whisky matured for 13 years in oak casks. Golden in colour it has a sweet and savoury nose. Dry cured meats glazed with luscious apricot jam combines with rich vanilla notes. Flashes of softly swirling peat smoke compliment the delicious sweetness. The palate is bursting with juicy tropical fruit - pineapple, kiwi, banana- brushed softly with icing sugar. Light touches of malt and vibrant lemon peel balance the sweetness. The finish is long and luxurious with hints of sweet marshmallow toasting over gently smouldering bonfire embers.
