Discovery Tomatin 2008 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Discovery Tomatin single malt scotch whisky was matured in Bourbon casks that were filled in 2008, before being bottled in 2018, making this a 10 year old expression of Highland Malt Whisky. A wonderful gold in colour, on the nose, delicate elderflower and flowering apple blossoms are layered with creamy vanilla. Summer pear and freshly cut grass aromas open into candied sweets and nuances of lemon sherbet. On the palate banana and peaches with thick heather honey and light dustings of cocoa powder. Traces of creamy vanilla resonate with a gentle herbal edge. To finish, lingering oak slowly fades to reveal soft hints of citrus.
