Domaine Sébastien Dampt Chablis 1er Cru Les Beugnons 2017

Domaine Sébastien Dampt's Chablis 1er Cru Les Beugnons is produced from a south facing parcel at the extreme south of Les Vaillons with excellent sun exposure.

The monks Pontigny Abbey began using the word 'climate' for 'les Beugnons' as early as 1572 making this one of the oldest identified climates in Burgundy.

This unique wine is vinified in a single concrete egg to give an extra layer of complexity. The shape of the egg creates a circulating effect for the lees while the porosity of the surface allows for micro-oxidation like a barrique but without any woody characters. This is a beautifully textured and intensely refreshing wine which will be delicious in a couple of years.
