Domaine Tempier Bandol 'Pour Lulu' Cuvée Classique 2017
Domaine Tempier Cuvée Classique is the estates staple red wine, which blends the discrete strength of Bandol alongside the elegance and finesse for which Tempier is renown. In 2017 the estate was honoured to celebrate Lulu Peyraud’s 100th birthday and to recall the event they commissioned a special label for the 2017 cuvée Classique vintage, as a fitting tribute to the estate owner and family matriarch. The Cuvée Classique's complexity is a result of different terroirs of the estate and those that surround it. The composition of the blend is dominated by the Mourvèdre grape (75%) alongside Grenache and Cinsault with smaller additions of Carignan and Syrah. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats and the wine is aged in large oak casks for a minimum of 18 months prior to bottling.
