Eden Road Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2017

The Eden Road Tumbarumba Chardonnay is a selection of the best barrels from both Courabyra and Maragle vineyards. The winemaking is kept simple in order to express the high country and rocky soil origins of the fruit. The fruit was whole bunch pressed and transferred to French oak barriques for fermentation with indigenous yeast. The wine was then matured on its lees in oak for 12 months and stirred weekly. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation. No additives were used except in a small amount of sulphur dioxide prior to bottling.

Rich toasted notes are encapsulated by a beautiful core of ripe stone fruits, with nuances of lemon curd and delicate brioche notes. The palate is harmoniously balanced by natural high-altitude acidity which leads to an everlasting finish.
