Famille Perrin Gigondas La Gille 2016

The Famille Perrin vineyard is amongst the most historical vineyards in Gigondas. The vines are grown on sandy soils, which cover only a small part of the appellation and which benefit from a flow of cold air that blows through the valley situated to the west of the village. A blend dominated by Grenache which expresses great softness and is very aromatic without being heavy. This wine is full bodied but with finesse at the same time. Beautiful ruby in colour the nose is complex with aromas of ripe fruit (plums, cherries) and spices (cardamom, pepper). On the palate, the attack is dense and velvety with well-melted tannins and hints of pepper brioche.

"“Jammy nose with less definition than their Christins Vacqueyras. Firmer and more textural on the palate, with ample density. Has the gutsiness and fruit power to age well.”"
