Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin Petit Chablis 2017

Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin's Petit Chablis is distinguished by its Portland soil, also called Barrois limestone. It is still found on the plateaus above the kimmeridgian layers, around 200 meters above sea level.

The Portland soil always gives it greater accessibility. From the first year, the wines are always very expressive and alternate between yellow fruits and salinity in cool year and aromas of chalk and wet stone in hot year.  A wine that shows its best within the first 5 years but could develop further over the next 10 years.
