La Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva 2007

The Gran Reserva 904 from La Rioja Alta is an iconic red wine from the Rioja region of Spain. Complex and smooth textured with scents of wild cherries and soft vanilla, the palate is elegantly structured with lovely depth of subtle cherry and strawberry fruits with a mouth-watering balsamic note and a hint of dried herbs on the long finish. Extensively matured in barrel and bottle, this medium bodied Rioja is delicious now but will carry on developing in complexity over the next decade or more.
