Oliver Zeter Sauvignon Blanc Fumé 2019

Oliver Zeter's Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Fumé is sourced from the estate's oldest and best vineyards. Only the finest and ripest grapes were selected in the vineyards for this wine and were harvested by hand into small 20kg baskets. At the winery the grapes were crushed and pressed and the juice was immediately transferred to new French oak barrels where the must was spontaneously fermented. Malolactic fermentation was prevented and the wine was then poured into stainless steel tanks along with its fine lees where it remained until it was bottled in the summer following harvest. Due to the influence of the wood, this wine displays both typical Sauvignon Blanc notes as well as a strong finish with slightly smoky (Fumé) flavour.
