Olivier Leflaive Meursault Clos du Cromin 2017/8
Located at the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, Meursault is one of the region's best known and most famous villages as it is considered to be the capital of Burgundy's great white wines. Images of the town hall's multi-colored tiled roof are famous all over the world. "Clos du Cromin" is located to the northeast of the village, at the border of Volnay. The stone walls of the vineyard and the Burgundian origin of the name "Cro" attest to the presence of quarries that existed here a long time ago. Olivier Leflaives Meursault Clos du Cromin is matured for 17 months (5 months in stainless steel) and the remainder in 100% oak of which 25% was new. The nose is flowery, often dominated by verbena and lime-tree, and on the palate the wine is rather rich and powerful, balanced by a beautiful and strong minerality.
