Oveja Negra The Lost Barrel 2015

The Oveja Negra Lost Barrel wines are made from hand-harvested fruit from the estate's own vineyards in the Maule Valley. Lost Barrel is an assembly of the wines that Edgard Carter, head winemaker at VIA Wines, has identified as special barrel selections from the best hand harvested fruit from their vineyards in the Maule Valley.

A blend of Carignan, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes, this wine shows a seductive and complex combination of black cherry, strawberries, a hint of jasmine along with nutmeg, which lends a certain wild character and a touch of graphite adding minerality. The tension provoked between the acidity and tannins make this a fresh and lively wine with good tannins, cedar oak comes through before a long, elegant finish.
