Sebastiani Sonoma County Zinfandel 2015
The Sonoma County is considered to be one of the finest regions in the USA for the production of Zinfandel and the Sebastiani Sonoma County Zinfandel comes from two of the best AVAs for this quintessential American grape: Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley. A small amount of Petite Sirah from Sonoma Valley adds structure, colour and complexity to this cuvée. Matured for 9 months in a combination of one, two and three-year old American oak this Sonoma County Zinfandel is opulent with a beautiful deep ruby hue as you pour it into the glass. Concentrated aromas of raspberry and white pepper offer a bold, fruit forward and spicy nose. These notes carry through to the palate with juicy flavours of raspberry, blackberry, plum and white pepper. The finish has a full body with sleek tannins that balance out the lush, berry texture. This wine can be enjoyed now, and pairs well with hearty pastas or pepperoni pizza.
