Tenet Wines The Pundit Syrah 2015

Tenet Wines is a project between the iconic Washington state winery Chateau Ste. Michelle and the acclaimed Rhône winemaker Michel Gassier, with the assistance of Southern Rhône’s famous enology consultant, Philippe Cambie.

Together they've established a parallel between Syrah’s French home in the renowned region of the Rhône Valley and the tremendous potential Washington State's basaltic slopes have to offer this noble red wine grape variety.

The Pundit blend is dominated by Syrah (90%) with the additions of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier (co-fermented with Syrah). The colour is deep ruby with garnet highlights. Raspberry jam and citrus with soy and earthy undertone aromas are complemented by a brambly, subtle meaty character. A smooth mouthfeel glides into a long silky finish with flavours of juicy blueberry, hints of tobacco and subtle gamey undertones.
