The Wine Merchants Argentinian Malbec by Bodega Cuarto Dominio 2018

The Wine Merchants Argentinian Malbec is made from 100 percent Malbec, 50 percent of which is Uco Valley fruit and 50 percent fruit from East Valley, San Martin and Rivadavia. Bodega Cuarto Dominio is a joint project between fourth-generation members of two renowned wine families that have been making wine in Argentina for over 100 years. The bodega’s house style exudes freshness. They shun over-extraction or over-maturation of the grapes and prefer instead to produce concentrated but lifted, vibrant wines.

The Wine Merchant’s Range Malbec has a unique and distinctive character. It is purple in colour with violet highlights, black cherry and red fruits aromas, and a full and rich mouth-feel. Despite its generous black fruit notes, this wine has a real elegance and freshness due to the high-altitude location of the vines (some of which are over 900 metres above sea-level). It is medium-bodied with ripe, silky tannins.
