The Wine Merchants Champagne Brut NV by Palmer

The Wine Merchants Champagne Brut NV is by the illustrious Reims house of Palmer. This cuvée includes 34 percent reserve wine, from the 2011 and ’12 vintages which has been aged in stainless steel vats. Tirage took place in 2014. The first (alcoholic) fermentation was in stainless steel vat, with the second fermentation in bottle. The wine then spent 36 months maturing in Palmer’s chalky cellars, 18 metres below ground.

This outstanding Champagne blends the three key varietals with consummate ease, its attractive floral nose adorned with notes of nectarine and brioche, it's mouth-feel richly energetic. The impressive reserve wine component, allied to a modest dosage, ensures focus, depth and persistence, while the finish is reassuringly long.
