The Albarino Mixed Case
Albariño (or Alvarinho in Portugal) is a highly aromatic white wine grape variety from the coastal regions of northwest Spain and northern Portugal. Known for its vibrant acidity and fresh, saline character, it is often referred to as "the perfect seafood wine". Rías Baixas in Spain is the most famous region for Albariño, located in green and rainy Galicia region of Spain's Atlantic coast. Just across the border in Vinho Verde (Portugal) the same grape is known as Alvarinho. It is often blended with other native grapes in the Vinho Verde region, but some producers make single-varietal Alvarinho. Elsewhere, due to its popularity, Albariño is now grown in maritime climates around the world, including New Zealand, and Uruguay. This six bottle case contains one bottle each of outstanding examples of the Albariño grape variety.
