Vintage & Deluxe Champagne

Vintage Champagne is arguably the finest expression of sparkling wine made anywhere in the world. It is made exclusively from grapes grown in a single year (vintage), and is produced only in the very best years. Vintage Champagnes tend to be released after about six years of age and can be drunk upon release; however, the best vintage Champagnes will improve with age and can benefit from cellaring for five to ten (or more) years'.

Many Champagne houses now produce a top of the range 'Luxury (Prestige) Cuvée' that is also vintage-dated. These are the very best Champagne that a house can produce and are sublime but equally very expensive. Famous examples of this type include Louis Roederer's Cristal, Laurent-Perrier's Grand Siècle, Moët & Chandon's Dom Pérignon, Duval-Leroy's Cuvée Femme and Pol Roger's Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill.
