We're Hic! Wine Merchants - a dedicated team based at our store in West Yorkshire. Every order is personally fulfilled by us, drawing stock from the shop in Ledston and our specialist external warehouse. This dual-stock model ensures you get access to our widest possible selection.

Our delivery promise is 5 to 7 working days from the date of order. While most orders are dispatched and delivered much faster (often within 3 working days) the 7-day window accounts for necessary fulfilment cycles.

If your order includes items held in our external bonded warehouse facility, we must wait for our fixed, weekly collection slot. This process ensures all stock is correctly consolidated, quality-checked and integrated with our in-store shipments before despatch. This process ensures we maintain the quality and availability of our full product portfolio and the 7-day estimate covers this essential logistical step.

As part of our stock and quality guarantee we perform an immediate stock check after receiving your order. If we discover any shortfalls or if a vintage change is required, we will contact you personally via email to advise alternative options.

 

OUR DELIVERY SERVICE

 

• There is no minimum order for delivery.
• We offer FREE Delivery on most UK orders over £165.00 in value delivered to one single address.
• Orders under £165 are subject to a £12.50 standard delivery charge delivered to a non-restricted UK postcode address.
• Our standard delivery service covers England, Wales and non-restricted postcodes in Scotland.
• We can deliver a single bottle for just £5.00 to a single UK address using the Royal Mail Tracked 48 Service.
• Over-Sized Single Bottle Orders upto 3kg are despatched using Royal Mail and are charged £8.50 per order.
• We aim to deliver your order within 5 to 7 working days from the date of order, but this is often much sooner.
• Please allow up to 7-10 working days for dispatch during peak season/around public holidays when couriers do not operate and we are unable ship.
• Deliveries are made by DPD, fully tracked with a 1 hour predict delivery window.
• MANDATORY 18+ SIGNATURE: Due to the laws regarding the sale of alcohol, all our deliveries require a verified signature upon arrival. Your parcel MUST be signed for by someone 18 years old or over. Proof of ID will be required by the driver. For this reason, we cannot leave parcels in a safe place or deliver them without a verified signature, even if requested via the DPD app
• Please be aware that multi-case orders can become separated through the courier network. If you do not receive the balance of your order within 3 working days of the first delivery please contact us.
• We recommend you download the DPD app for the most accurate parcel tracking and best possible delivery experience.

It can be re-used as planters for your garden or placed in any household compost and will biodegrade in less than 6 months.
