Château Beaumont | Haut Médoc

Château Beaumont is a large, well-regarded Cru Bourgeois estate located in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux, known for producing high-quality, excellent-value red wines. The estate is situated on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary, between the prestigious Margaux and Saint-Julien appellations.
The estate can trace its winemaking history back to 1824, with the striking Renaissance-style château being constructed in 1854. Château Beaumont was acquired in 1986 by Société Grands Millésimes de France, a company now co-owned by the Castel Group and Japanese company Suntory. The same group also owns the celebrated classified growth, Château Beychevelle, and Château Lagrange.
The expansive 114-hectare vineyard is in a single, contiguous block with a terroir that is primarily gravel and sand, providing excellent drainage and encourages the vines to develop deep root systems. The plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Since 2004, the estate has practiced sustainable viticulture, earning Terra Vitis certification. This approach aims to produce quality grapes with respect for the environment.
