Château Cos Labory | Saint Estèphe
Château Cos Labory is one of the smallest of the Cru Classé châteaux in Bordeaux. The wine produced here was classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Surrounded by three illustrious neighbours, Château Lafite, Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Lafon Rochet, the property has been in the hands of the Audoy family since the beginning of the last century and today it is owned by Madame Cécile Audoy and managed by her son Bernard. The name of the estate comes from its geographical location on the Cos hill and the name of François Labory, who was the first owner until 1845. The wines now are some of the best (and most sensibly priced) in St-Estèphe today.
