Château Ducru Beaucaillou | Saint-Julien

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a prestigious Second (Deuxième) Grand Cru Classé of the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and is situated in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Revered as a "Super Second," it produces powerful, elegant, and refined wines, with the best vintages capable of aging for many decades. The estate also produces a second wine, La Croix de Beaucaillou, and a third wine, Le Petit Ducru.
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou's vineyards are situated on a well-drained soil of "beautiful pebbles" (beau caillou) that gives the estate its name and are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This exceptional terroir yields grapes of remarkable concentration and complexity, which results in a classic Saint-Julien wine that balances structure with extraordinary refinement.
Under the stewardship of the Borie family, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou continues to craft some of the world’s most sought-after wines.
