Wine By Grape Variety | Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is a white grape variety that has a thin skin and a high natural sugar content making it suitable to produce a wide range of wine styles, including sparkling and sweet wines. Young Chenin Blanc can taste of fresh apples and exotic fruit, while the flavours become richer and more rounded and honeyed with age.
Chenin Blanc performs particularly well in the Loire Valley, France where it produces a variety of wine styles and it is also very successful in South Africa where it is the dominant white grape variety.
