Domaine Evremond | Kent

The Domaine Evremond journey began in 2015 when two close friends, Patrick McGrath MW and Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger agreed that they would establish a new English Sparkling Wine estate. Since then, the project has evolved and Domaine Evremond has grown from an idea, to a plot of land, to flourishing vineyards and now a dedicated winery, nestled among the vines of the Estate, that produces certified Quality English Sparkling Wine.
Kent, ‘The Garden of England’, is the spiritual home of Taittinger and the original site of Stone Stile Farm’s apple and pear orchards near the archetypal village of Chilham. It was picked for its perfect combination of deep, free draining chalk soils, south facing slopes and the ideal altitude some 50 to 90m above sea level. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the winery, along with the cellar door, is located at the heart of the estate. Built with sustainability at the fore, the majority of the sympathetically designed winery is subterranean and provides a natural gravity-led winemaking process. The design allows an uncompromising approach to quality winemaking.
