Kooyong wines are based in the cool climate Mornington Peninsula, 80Km south of Melbourne, where winemaker Sandro Mosele crafted a reputation for some of the finest representations of Australian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today chief winemaker Glen Hayley continues the passion for crafting some of Australia's finest examples of these two grape variety's.
The vineyard is split into five individual parcels with a variety of clones planted on some very different soils, and everything is done to enhance and express the natural characteristics of each parcel. The best selection of each vineyard is reserved for the Kooyong single vineyard wines which are each vibrant, elegant and impeccable examples of their type.
The Kooyong wines belong to the stable of the Port Phillip Estate which has recently undergone significant investment is a new state-of-the-art winery.
