Nearly all of its production is reserved for blending, making it a vital component in Johnnie Walker and other premium blends. This 16 Year Old expression, bottled as part of the iconic Flora & Fauna series, is one of the few official bottlings available, giving enthusiasts a rare glimpse into the distillery's rich, robust character. It is a traditional, slightly heavy Speyside malt, often benefiting from aging in a mix of ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks, providing depth and a signature malty backbone that defines its appeal. The nose is rich and heavy with aromas of malt loaf, Christmas cake, and sweet sherry initially, followed by subtle notes of dried herbs and a distinct, almost waxy or meaty depth.
