Fog Mountain Merlot 2021
The Fog Mountain Wines pay homage to the Californian mountain ranges and the cooling fog, which have a huge influence on Californian viticulture. The mountains offer unique climatic conditions and varied soils on which to plant vines, while the fog, with its cooling effect, creates the ideal microclimate, prolonging the growing season and allowing the grapes to fully ripen. Grapes for this wine are selected predominantly from vineyards across California’s North Coast. The mountain slopes offer unique soils and a climate ideally suited for responsible, sustainable agriculture. This wine is filled with red fruit aromas of raspberry and strawberry. Mouth-filling flavours of black cherry, dusty chocolate and vanilla are complemented by notes of cinnamon. This is a medium-bodied wine with soft tannins and an enjoyable finish.
