Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
According to legend, Frangelico was first made by the monks of northern Italy over 300 years ago, hence the cassock-shaped bottle and it is considered that the name comes from the shortening of Father Angelico - a Franciscan friar rumoured to have first created the drink. An Italian classic, Frangelico is a rich nutty liqueur crafted using the finest Tonda Gentile hazelnuts from Piedmont. These plump hazelnuts are harvested, shelled, toasted, crushed and steeped in alcohol. This nutty infusion is then distilled, before being further enhanced with extracts and distillates of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.
