Ataraxia Pinot Noir 2018
The Ataraxia Pinot Noir is a classy, captivating and svelte example of what can be achieved in the Cape. In South Africa, experience and research has shown the Hemel en-Aarde Valley to be unequivocally the most exciting and promising area for quality Pinot Noir production, easily on a par with and often exceeding the quality attained in other New World Pinot Noir producing regions. Matured in French oak barrels for 11 months this Pinot Noir offers up a fine blend of aromas, including red cherries, pomegranate, delicate forest floor and a hint of spice and new oak. On the palate the wine is sensual and embracing, with a captivating mid-palate depth, lovely transparency and excellent focus on the suavely-tannic finish.
