Cave Mallory Talmard | Uchizy

Cave Mallory Talmard is a property with a deep, multi-century history located in the heart of the Mâconnais. Run today by Mallory Talmard and her husband Benjamin Gonçalves, the estate is renowned for producing Chardonnay of unrivalled purity, freshness and value.
The Talmard family name has been interwoven with the vineyards of the Mâconnais since the 17th century. This profound, generational expertise underpins every bottle. Since 1997, Mallory Talmard and Benjamin Gonçalves have carried the torch, expanding the estate and perfecting a precise, signature style. Marco, the next generation, has recently joined the team, securing the domaine's future.
The property encompoasses 31 hectares of Chardonnay vines spread across specific, high-quality villages in Southern Burgundy, including Uchizy, Chardonnay and Montbellet. This complexity of clay-limestone soils is the secret to the wines’ balance, fruit character, and minerality. The family philosophy is simple: respect the fruit. They use a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the natural citrus, white peach, and floral notes of the Chardonnay grape. The wines are typically unoaked, resulting in a vibrant, clean, and refreshing style.
If you seek Burgundy that captures the bright, mineral-driven essence of the Chardonnay grape without the influence of oak, you have found your home.
