France | Alsace

The French wine region of Alsace, located to the east of the Vosges mountains in France, has the ability to offer those enthusiastic and open minded wine drinkers out-there, a serious alternative to the ubiquitous Chardonnay grape. It is the only classical wine region within France that has built a reputation on the concept of single-varietal wines which produce rich dry white wines of great intensity that are ideally suited to food as much as they are to drinking on their own.

The principle white grape varieties grown in Alsace tend to be Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer; all of which impart their own characteristics to great effect in this wonderful part of France.

The producers and growers whose wines we sell all produce varying styles but to great effect and hopefully we can enlighten you with our enthusiasm for this fantastic wine region, which may inspire you to experiment or indulge yourself on some truly stunning white wines.
