Vineyards in Washington State, Pacific Northwest of America

The wine regions of the Pacific Northwest in America represent one of the world's most dynamic and exciting cool-climate viticultural areas. Encompassing the diverse terroirs of Washington and Oregon, this collection showcases wines defined by purity, balance, and a distinct regional character.

The Pacific NorthWest is geographically divided by the Cascade Mountain range, which creates two dramatically different growing environments:

  1. West of the Cascades (Oregon and Coastal Washington) is characterised by a mild, maritime climate, high rainfall and a focus on Burgundian grape varieties. This area is responsible for some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced outside of Europe.
  2. East of the Cascades (Eastern Washington and Columbia Valley) is a high desert environment characterised by minimal rainfall, hot, sunny days, and dramatic diurnal shifts (warm days followed by cold nights). This intense climate allows grapes to develop full ripeness while retaining exceptional acidity, yielding complex, age-worthy wines. It is here that Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Riesling grape varieties thrive producing powerful, fruit-forward reds with concentrated flavors and structured whites with balancing freshness.

The Pacific Northwest of America wines offer an incredible blend of Old World structure and New World fruit intensity. They are perfect for collectors looking for wines with reliable quality, excellent vintage variation, and the capacity to age gracefully. From the silky elegance of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir to the bold complexity of Walla Walla Cabernet, this region offers a wine for every sophisticated palate.
