Château Barbeyrolles | Provence

Château Barbeyrolles in Gassin, Saint-Tropez

Acquired in 1977 by Régine Sumeire, Château Barbeyrolles is a twelve hectare vineyard located in the village of Gassin, a preserved spot of magical beauty in the gulf of Saint-Tropez. In the early 1980s and with a desire to craft a pale rosé wine, Régine pioneered a new vinification technique using Grenache grapes and a champagne press. The resulting wine, Pétale de Rose, is now recognised as the first pale rosé wine of Provence, France's spiritual home for rosé style wines.
