Château Barrail du Blanc | Saint Émilion Grand Cru
Château Barrail du Blanc is a tiny property of just 3 hectares, situated in St Sulpice de Faleyrons (St. Émilion), on light, well drained soils. The vineyard is planted to Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) with the average age of the vines 40+ years.
Historically the family, who have owned the estate for over 150 years, used to sell their grapes but in 1995 they decided to make their own wine. Considerable investment was necessary and new thermo-regulated tanks were installed, as well as a maturation cellar - all to improve quality. The team at JP Moueix now guide the winemaking at Barrail du Blanc and handle sales of this super Grand Cru that offers tremendous value and quality.
